Larisa Ovalles
Research Scientist
Larisa Ovalles is a Research Scientist at the Urban Risk Lab at the MIT School of Architecture and Planning. Larisa has worked on a multi-year project to develop alternatives for FEMA post-disaster housing solutions across the US islands and is leading the effort to develop processes to increase planning and preparedness at local and community levels. Larisa holds a B.Arch from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Architectural Studies (SMArchS) in Urbanism from MIT.
