TEDxBoston hosted its 2025 Planet Action summit at MIT's Kresge Auditorium from November 15–17, bringing together researchers, community leaders, and innovators focused on practical climate solutions. The event was designed to move ideas from concept to implementation by connecting speakers with attendees who can support and scale their work. An advisory board of MIT faculty, including Daniela Rus, Yet-Ming Chiang, John E. Fernández, and Andrew Lo, helped shape the program.
Across the three days, sessions addressed resilience, climate-smart infrastructure, and measurable progress from earlier cohorts. MIT Urban Risk Lab Director Miho Mazereew, in collaboration with Desirée Plata, Daniel Aldrich, Admir Masic, and Hessam Azarijafari, gave a presentation entitled "Adaptable Cites" on November 16th, Day 2 of the summit.
Organizers described the summit as an opportunity to channel collective expertise toward climate action at a pivotal moment. Their focus is on building a network that can take well-developed ideas and convert them into impact. For attendees, the event offered a chance to hear emerging research, engage with practitioners, and participate in a broader effort to advance solutions for a livable future.
